Environment

At Airtel-Vodafone, we’re committed to managing our business in an environmentally responsible manner.

Here are just some of the initiatives we undertake to minimise our effect on the environment:

Eco-Active
We’re proud to be a registered Eco-Active business in Jersey.

Although the Eco-Active scheme does not operate in Guernsey, we intend to use the same principles for our Guernsey based operations and lead by example as an environmentally friendly Channel Island's company.

Paper sourcing
We know how important woodland and forests are for the future of the world we live in which is why we source all of the paper supplies used for promotional purposes from sustainable forests.

Energy conservation
We’re an energy conscious company and try to reduce our use of energy wherever possible. Our computers are shut down and our office lights are turned off at the end of every working day.

Sponsorship
In Guernsey, we sponsor the States of Guernsey’s Recycling Scheme to encourage islanders to dispose of their waste in an environmentally friendly manner.

Help us become a greener company
If you have any unwanted handsets lying around then bring them into one of our stores so they can be recycled.

We run a handset recyling scheme in conjunction with Channel Island company, Phone Junction. This scheme recycles customers’ unwanted handsets, which are either sent abroad for use in developing countries or, with older phones, they are stripped of their recyclable parts so they can be reused elsewhere.

Join our E-bills scheme
Why have a paper bill delivered every month when you can check it online at anytime?

With E-bills, you stop receiving paper bills and instead receive them via email or as a download from our website.

E-bills means we can save on thousands of sheets of paper, thereby helping to protect woodland. It also reduces our own, and our customers, carbon footprints.
